Scenic Train Rides of the Northern Poconos

The historic Stourbridge Line in Honesdale carries riders on an old-fashioned 25-mile train ride along the scenic Lackawaxen River.

Roll through idyllic landscapes and small towns on what is often called the “birthplace of America’s commercial railroad.” Hop on the Stourbridge Line and take part in a railroading tradition that dates all the way back to 1829. The restored train cars will take you on a journey back in time.

The Stourbridge Line offers special holiday trips throughout the year. The kids can ride the rails with the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus. Discover the true colors of NEPA on one of the fall foliage rides offered in autumn. They even offer trips to local festivals in Hawley and the Lake Wallenpaupack area.
