The Gathering Place is a dynamic community center that celebrates creativity, education and the arts. From cooking classes to art exhibits to game nights, The Gathering Place embraces the entire community and the opportunity to come together to learn, play and socialize. The organization has transformed the first floor of the former Clarks Summit firehouse and features an art studio, kitchen, classrooms, and space for small events, exhibits and theatrical productions.

Their revolving monthly calendar of events is filled with activities for people of all ages and interests. Programs that meet regularly include Craft & Chat, Memory Cafe, Songwriters Roundtable, Writers Group, Weaving Group and Book Group. Take a cooking, crafting or art class, attend a lecture, enjoy community events like concerts and art shows, or just meet up with friends. The Gathering Place is an all-inclusive center for everyone in Clarks Summit and the Abingtons to learn, create and share.
