Susquehanna Warrior Trail
Berwick, PA
Sports & Outdoors: Hiking & Biking
From the Railroads to the River
Follow the old railroad bed on the Susquehanna Warrior Trail, a 12.5-mile trail that extends from the PPL Susquehanna Riverlands in Berwick to Canal Park in West Nanticoke. The trail has a hard-packed surface of crushed stone, making it a popular spot for hiking and biking. In the winter, it’s ideal for cross-country skiing.
The trail runs alongside the Susquehanna River, so take time to soak up the scenery. You might even spot bald eagles, river otters, and herons along the way.
Every spring, the Susquehanna Warrior Trail hosts a 5K Race and Fun Walk. This major fundraiser helps cover trail maintenance and operating expenses.
Parking and trail access is available at PPL Susquehanna Riverlands, Shickshinny Park, the corner of North Susquehanna Avenue and Oak Street in Shickshinny, Union Township Boat Launch, Garden Drive in Hunlock Creek, and Canal Park in West Nanticoke.
