Since early 1929 when comedic legends Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy opened it, this historic performance venue has been a Stroudsburg staple. Located downtown among restaurants and hotels, the Sherman Theater features concerts by well-known artists, open mic nights, and festivals throughout the year. In addition to general seating, the Sherman Theater offers four premium VIP sky boxes, complete with complimentary fruit-and-cheese platters and waitstaff.

The Sherman Theater can also accommodate such private events as wedding receptions or post-wedding parties, Sweet 16s, speaking and corporate events, fundraisers, and film premieres and showings.
