Shawnee Mountain Ski Area in East Stroudsburg offers a winter getaway packed with family fun, snowy thrills and plenty of beginner-friendly adventure in the Pocono Mountains. With 125 acres of skiable terrain, 23 trails, two terrain parks and a snow tubing park, Shawnee delivers action for every skill level from December through March. Whether you’re strapping in for the first time or perfecting your carving, this family-owned resort offers a welcoming environment for skiers, riders and snow lovers of all ages.
The resort’s high-speed Tomahawk Express chairlift gets visitors to the summit fast, while the 100% snowmaking system ensures great conditions throughout the season. Kids can spend the day at Camp Shawnee, which provides convenient babysitting services for families. Shawnee also features night skiing, offering more time to enjoy the slopes under the lights. For snowboarders and freestyle skiers, the Delaware Terrain Park and Country Club Incubator Park provide space to build skills with rails, jumps and boxes designed for all levels.

Need gear? Shawnee’s ski shop has jackets, pants, helmets, goggles, handwarmers and equipment from top brands like Salomon and Dalbello. Guests with their own equipment can stop by the Tune & Repair Shop for service and adjustments. When it’s time for a break, warm up with a meal or snack from five dining spots across the resort, including Hickory Licks Restaurant, Black Diamond Grille and Hope Lodge Cafeteria.
