Schuylkill Haven’s Island Park is the perfect destination for those looking to enjoy a day outdoors. The park is home to soccer and baseball fields, which can also be used for flag football, softball, and kickball.

For a more leisurely pace, take a stroll along the Irish Flats Trail. This gravel walking and biking path forms a one-mile loop around the entire park. The trail is flat and gentle with beautiful scenery of the nearby Schuylkill River.

Speaking of, the river’s boat launch is located within the park for fisherman looking to catch some big ones. A walking bridge connects the park to downtown Schuylkill Haven.
