Since 1973, the Schuylkill Choral Society has been providing affordable and accessible entertainment for the Schuylkill community. The 80-voice volunteer choir is based in Pottsville. They have toured across the country, even making a trip across the Atlantic to perform in the Britain and Europe. While at home, the Schuylkill Choral Society puts on several concerts and performances throughout the year. From stunning classical pieces to catchy Broadway show tunes, these concerts cover a wide range of favorites.

The Society aims to create not just beautiful music, but a love and appreciation for the arts in general. For those who are lucky enough to carry a tune, auditions for the choir are held on several dates over the course of the year. The recently formed Minor Notes Chorale gives the kids a chance to show off their musical skills. And if you’re more of a listener, the choir always needs a good audience. No matter what side of the stage you find yourself, the Schuylkill Choral Society is a music lover’s dream.
