Rolling Hills Red Deer Farm in Catawissa raises over 400 red deer across 200 scenic acres near Bloomsburg. This family-friendly farm offers hayride tours each summer and fall that are educational, interactive, and perfect for all ages. Visitors enjoy the rare opportunity to hand-feed deer, take photos, and learn about this unique species.
Tours operate on the hour and last about 50 minutes. From late May through mid-June, the farm is open Saturdays only. Starting the third week in June through August, tours run Tuesday through Saturday. In September and October, tours are offered Fridays and Saturdays. Appointments are required for off-hours and large groups.
The gift shop sells farm-raised venison, including jerky, steaks, and bologna sticks, available year-round. Visitors will also find souvenirs like antler keychains, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and handmade crafts including antler chandeliers and knives. Red deer venison from the farm is high in protein, iron, and vitamins and is USDA-inspected and shippable nationwide.
Tour & Gift Shop Highlights
Guests can feed the deer using pellet buckets or seasonal apple wedges from the gift shop. Visitors may see fawns playing, stags roaring, or deer eating from the wagon.
