On a clear day, you can see New York.

The Cliff Park Trail System, located in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, boasts spectacular valley vistas and the occasional waterfall.

This system covers about 9 miles of hiking terrain through forests, fields, overlooks and creek beds. There are 8 connected trails that can be taken individually or combined for a more vigorous hike.

You can begin your tour of the Cliff Park System at the Raymondskill Falls Trail. Here you can get a glimpse of Pennsylvania’s tallest waterfall. From there, you can climb your way to several stunning overlooks. Get a good look out over Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York at the Tri-State Overlook. Snap pics at the breathtaking River and Minisink Overlooks. And end with a bird’s eye view of the quaint town of Milford at the Milford Knob Overlook.

Most of the trails offer moderately easy hikes with the exception of several steep spots. Always check with he National Parks Service for trail closures or alerts before heading out.
