The Big Brown Fish Hatchery
The hatchery began in 1971 as a small project by founder Charles A. Conklin II. It grew into a major operation supplying trout, bass and hybrid bluegill across the region. The hatchery now produces hundreds of thousands of pounds of fish annually. A portion of that stock supports the pay lakes, ensuring consistent quality throughout the season.
