Established in 1975, the Wyoming Valley Striders (WVS) running club is the oldest continuously operating running club in Pennsylvania’s Wyoming Valley.

Supporting the local running community in Northeastern Pennsylvania, the nonprofit group holds various races and events each year, including a Winter’s End 4.5 Mile Run in March, a Cherry Blossom 5 Mile Run in May, two age graded trail runs, and a 20K race in November. Marking the start of the high school cross country season, their annual Cliff Robbins Sr. Memorial Invitational takes place each year on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.
