Mission Statement

Providing help and hope for Susquehanna County

Susquehanna County Interfaith is a nonprofit that preserves and improves the quality of life for all community members, from the smallest children to senior citizens. Based in a historic, renovated church in Montrose, they offer crisis assistance and educational development programs for county residents.

Susquehanna County Interfaith helps connect people with the support and resources they need to overcome difficult times. They provide emergency assistance during life’s unexpected events, such as medical emergencies, homelessness, natural disasters and other devastating losses. They also organize a Back to School Shoe Program for eligible children and a Holiday Bureau to provide gifts, clothing and food to those in need. Not matter what, they treat everyone with dignity and compassion.

Susquehanna County Interfaith also operates a thrift store, where the donations and sales help to fund their programs. They accept and sell gently used clothing, shoes, jewelry, housewares, small appliances, antiques, games and toys, books and so much more.
