The Rail-Trail Council of Northeastern Pennsylvania brings new life to the region’s historic railroad beds. This nonprofit, which is based in Union Dale, creates and maintains recreational trails that are ideal for hiking, biking, running, horseback riding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and other outdoor activities.

The Rail-Trail Council currently maintains the D&H Trail and the O&W Trail. They are also restoring the Endless Mountains Trail. They host educational and recreational events throughout the year, including races, guided hikes and bike rides, yoga sessions, wildlife programs and more.

The Rail-Trail Council keeps their trails beautiful thanks to dedicated volunteers and membership dollars.
