Mission Statement

The Friends of Howland Preserve is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works in partnership with the North Branch Land Trust to preserve the natural beauty, historical structures and conservation value of the Howland Preserve and maintain the property for the benefit of the public.

The Friends of Vosburg Neck State Parks is a group of volunteers that protects and enhances Vosburg Neck State Park in Tunkhannock. They work alongside the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), which owns the land.

Vosburg Neck State Park, formerly the Howland Preserve, is a 669-acre property on the Vosburg Neck, a scenic oxbow on the Susquehanna River. The Friends of Vosburg Neck work alongside DCNR to maintain the grounds, hiking and biking trails, boat launch and historic buildings on the property.
