Fork Over Love partners with independent restaurants to purchase hot, nutritious chef-made meals that we distribute to anyone struggling to put food on the table—for any reason— because we’re on a mission to holistically nourish communities from the inside out.
Fork Over Love | Nonprofit feeding neighbors & supporting local restaurants in NEPA
Fork Over Love is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit based in Northeastern Pennsylvania, dedicated to fighting food insecurity while uplifting the local restaurant community. Serving Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties, this innovative organization purchases takeout meals from area restaurants and distributes them for free to individuals and families in need. Since its founding in December 2020, Fork Over Love has provided thousands of meals—offering nourishment, dignity & hope one plate at a time.
A Response Rooted in Community Care
Born out of the dual crises of the COVID-19 pandemic—struggling small businesses and rising hunger—Fork Over Love has created a model where every dollar donated does double duty. The organization purchases between 400–800 meals each week from local restaurants, then distributes them at free community meal events and through partnerships with nonprofit and faith-based organizations. It’s a system that sustains restaurants while feeding those in need with hot, high-quality meals.

Volunteers are the heart of Fork Over Love. Whether helping with meal distribution, food delivery or event setup, each volunteer helps ensure meals reach the people who need them most. For those looking to contribute financially, a $10 donation feeds one person and supports a local restaurant at the same time. Proceeds from branded merchandise also help fund weekly meals.
