The Carbondale Public Library is a municipal organization dedicated to the education and enrichment of the community through offering access to public services, technology and information. The library offers public access to thousands of books, e-books, DVDs, music, computers, internet services and so much more. They also offer programs for families, children, teens and seniors.

The Carbondale Public Library is a member of the Lackawanna County Library System. Local individuals or organizations can support the library’s mission through monetary gifts, volunteer programs or “Friends of the Library” groups.
