Allied Services Integrated Health System is a nonprofit healthcare and human services provider based in Scranton dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities, chronic illness and life-altering injuries live more independently and with dignity. Founded in 1959 with a mission to provide employment training to individuals with disabilities, Allied Services has grown into a regional leader serving thousands of Pennsylvanians across Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania.

What began as vocational services has evolved into a robust, integrated system that offers physical rehabilitation, skilled nursing, hospice, personal care, behavioral health, home care and community-based support. Allied Services employs more than 3,000 staff and volunteers, all committed to helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. The organization’s inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre are recognized across the region for their expert treatment in stroke recovery, brain injury rehabilitation and complex integrated therapies.
Comprehensive Services Across the Region
The Allied Services Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scranton provides both long- and short-term care through a 371-bed facility featuring specialized memory care and the area’s only dedicated post-acute respiratory unit. With 15 outpatient rehab centers in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe and Wyoming counties, Allied ensures access to high-quality care close to home. The health system has also expanded its continuum of care through innovative programs like Community-Based Palliative Care and the Allied Services Hospice Center, an 8-bed facility established in 2018 in Scranton to provide comfort and dignity at life’s end.
