Pie Making on the Homestead

Have you ever wanted to create your own pie but have been afraid to get started? Think making crust from scratch is more than you can handle? Join the Chicken Librarian on the homestead as she walks you through the basics of making pie from scratch! Everyone can make pie! Dazzle your friends and family with a pie, made from scratch, by you!
Sample Schedule:
10AM: arrival, introductions, coffee and tea
10:15AM: the art of the pie crust. Options include: vegan, butter, gluten free, full gluten
10:45AM: what’s that your filling? Discussing and making seasonal pie filling
11:00AM: rolling in dough. How to roll your dough and decorate
11:15AM: take a break if needed and grab some munchies
11:30AM: putting it all together
12PM: class is dismissed
Where: Pie class is offered in the commercial kitchen space of the Delaware River Club fly lodge and shop. All aspects of the pie making process is made using our hands. Safety equipment will be provided, as will all ingredients and tool necessary to make one double-crust, seasonal pie. Recipes will also be provided.
