Harvest Moon Night Hike
Join Park Naturalist Rob Bergstresser for a night hike in their Day Use Area, under the light of the October Full Harvest Moon! Along the way, you’ll learn why this year’s Full Harvest Moon occurs in October, instead of September, and what makes the Harvest Moon so special. They’ll play some nocturnal games during the hike, to test your senses as they adjust to the nocturnal environment. We will also search for creatures of the night who call the park home. This is a relatively easy 2-mile hike. Participants should bring a flashlight, dress appropriately for the weather, and wear sturdy walking/hiking shoes. Rain will cancel the hike.
Pre-registration is REQUIRED and limited to 15 participants!
We will be meeting at the EIC for this program. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Please register EACH individual SEPARATELY!
***COVID-19 guidelines: ALL participants over the age of 2 MUST wear a mask during all programs. Exceptions will be given to those with medical conditions. CDC guidelines for social distancing will be in effect for all programs.
