And you are greeted by beautiful, dense state forests and game lands at almost every turn.
Wright Township also has its fair share of restaurants and local shops, but they generally leave the noise and bustle of larger shopping districts to their neighbors. That said, the nearest grocery store is less than ten minutes away.

The Crestwood School District is continually one of the region’s top performers. With rigorous academic honors programs, top-notch athletics and a personalized approach to learning, Crestwood High School in Wright Township is known for producing some of NEPA’s top graduates.
Two top-rated elementary schools also serve the school district. Rice Elementary School in nearby Rice Township and Fairview Elementary School in Mountaintop are two of the best performing schools in Luzerne County. Both schools are only a five minute bus ride from anywhere in Wright Township.
Saint Jude Catholic Elementary School is also a popular option for residents. This highly-rated, Pre-K through 8th grade parochial school features an in-house basketball league and they partner with Holy Redeemer High School in Wilkes-Barre to offer Junior High (grade 7 & 8) athletics.

Wright Township’s proximity to three of NEPA’s major roadways makes the morning commute all that much easier. In a short, fifteen-minute drive, residents can find themselves on interstates 80, 81 or even the PA Turnpike.
