Introducing Our Sweetest Blog Series Ever
A year ago, Jane Henry opened the doors of her very own bakery, Jane’s Sugar Magnolia. It took years of hard work, from training at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America to working with celebrity cake designer Ron Ben-Israel in New York City. But it all paid off when she returned home to NEPA and fulfilled her dreams of owning a bake shop.
Jane’s decadent pastries, gorgeous cakes and signature sugar flowers became an instant hit in the Back Mountain. Now, she’s looking ahead to another exciting year, and DiscoverNEPA is coming along for the ride.
We’ve teamed up to launch “Just Desserts with Jane,” a new blog series that will feature how-to videos, recipes and baking tips. We’ll capture some of the behind-the-scenes magic at the bakery and learn how to make treats that taste as amazing as they look.
If only computers could let you try a sample, right? Luckily, you don’t have to be a master baker to try these sweets in your own kitchen. Jane’s Sugar Magnolia often has take-home decorating kits with all the supplies you’ll need. And of course, you can always place an order for seasonal specials or stop by the bakery for a fresh-baked treat.
