A Family-Friendly Hike With Amazing Views

Forget long walks on the beach; a stroll along Lake Wallenpaupack is going to be your new go-to activity. The Wallenpaupack Lake Trail will lead you on a 1.5-mile trek along the pristine shoreline. The views are especially impressive during sunrise and sunset, when the water reflects the vibrant colors that paint the sky.

The trail is smooth and level, so it’s perfect for an easygoing walk with the family. It starts at the parking area on Route 507, not far from the interchange between Route 507 and Route 6. Along the way, you’ll catch stellar views from the dike and pass the Lake Wallenpaupack Visitor Center. The trail ends at the Lake Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center, where it joins with the Wallenpaupack Creek Trail.

The Wallenpaupack Lake Trail is popular for walkers and runners. Pets and bicycles are not permitted on the trail.
