North Branch Land Trust (NBLT) is a conservation organization that preserves over 20,000 acres of land along the North Branch of the Susquehanna River. Based in Dallas, they focus on protecting land in Luzerne, Wyoming, Susquehanna, Bradford, Sullivan, Columbia, Lackawanna and Wayne counties.

NBLT protects NEPA’s scenic watersheds, forests, farmlands and wildlife habitats for future generations. They currently own and operate several nature preserves, including some that are open to the public.

NBLT works with private landowners, community planners, land developers and public agencies to preserve nature’s beauty. They rely on memberships, gifts and grants to keep their mission alive. Volunteers also assist with maintaining the preserves and raising funds.
