A Pristine Mountain Lake

This private, 81.5-acre lake in Ross Township offers public access for boats and ice fishing via a PA Fish & Boat Commission boat launch. Sylvan Lake is a tear drop shaped, glacier-formed lake just 20 miles west of Wilkes-Barre. This popular ice fishing spot boasts hardy perch, black crappie, bluegills and stocked trout.

Boat fishing throughout the summer offers healthy populations of bass, walleye, pickerel and catfish. The minimal lake development and ample forested shoreline makes for good fishing all year round. All property around the lake is private with the exception of the PFBC Boat Launch, which offers parking for nearly a dozen cars.
