As another NEPA winter makes its exit, we’re gearing up for longer, sunnier days and warmer nights. Spring means we’re heading back outside for energizing hikes, long weekend paddles and maybe a few afternoons on the golf course. Explore Scranton’s railroad history. Enjoy guided tours, interactive exhibits, real trains on display and at work in the railyard. Just make sure you head outside for a look at the incredible train turntable and Roundhouse.

Get up close and personal with some of nature’s most beloved creatures at this state-of-the-art aquarium in Downtown Scranton. Check out sharks, piranha and tons of colorful tropical fish. And don’t miss the lizards, snakes and crocs in the popular Reptile Den.

Cruise along the scenic Lackawanna River Heritage Trail on complimentary bikes provided by Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority. Stop by any of BikeScranton’s 5 locations throughout the city, grab a bike, a helmet, a lock and be on your way.

Dinner on the weekend in NEPA is synonymous with pizza. And if you’re in the Electric City, you’ve got to make it to this legendary spot for their famous pan-style pizza. The menu also features sandwiches, soups and a long list of appetizers.
