Luzerne County’s Popular Mobile Concert Series Brings Peace and Love on a Flatbed Truck to Nanticoke.
Friday came and went and so did the famous Rockin’ The County flatbed stage. This time, it rolled on through Nanticoke carrying local favorites, The Husty Brothers and Ellie Rose. The eclectic trio snapped locals out of their dinner time daze with an infusion of classic Woodstock-Era rock, pop and blues.
The rolling rock show opened in the city’s southeastern Hanover section. From there, it threaded a string of classic favorites through tightly packed neighborhoods. As the rock parade churned on, residents took to their porches and tree lawns in fits of exuberant curiosity. The band left em’ in smiles all along their wayward path toward downtown. And, after a quick round about on Patriot Square, they steamed northward and out of town.
Visit Luzerne County and the Luzerne County Government teamed up to create the unique series. You can catch the last concert next Friday in the neighborhoods of Kingston and Forty Fort. Plan ahead by checking out the scheduled route here.
