Luzerne County’s Rolling Concert Series Shuttles Talented Young Rockers Through West Side Neighborhoods.
We set out in search of that popular rockin’ flatbed truck again last night. This time we found it on the Valley’s “West Side.” Friday’s Rockin’ The County mobile concert split its roughly 5-mile route between the boroughs of Kingston and Forty Fort. The truck carried the incredibly talented young musicians from Wilkes-Barre’s Rockology Music Academy. They collectively took the stage as Joe Nardone’s Rockology Americans.
The young rockers jammed up and down Wyoming Avenue and through otherwise sleepy neighborhoods. Rock and roll classics echoed along the tree-lined streets, drawing locals out on to their porches and front lawns. The mobile jam session made a few loops from one borough building to the next and then faded as quickly as it sparked into a pink NEPA sunset.
Visit Luzerne County and the Luzerne County Government teamed up to create the unique series. And, you can bet they’ll be coming up with more safe, socially distant fun this fall. Keep your eye on all that’s happening in Luzerne County here.
And, just in case you missed last night’s show, we happened to bring the camera along. Check it out.
