Local Market Held Every Friday at The Ski Shack

The Ski Shack is usually pretty quiet this time of year, but the brand-new Moosic Farmers Market is shaking things up this summer. Every Friday, customers swing by for local produce and baked goods.

Rowlands Pennsylvania Produce and Bet’a Bread Bakery set up their tents each week in the parking lot. The market is small in size, but it always draws a crowd—in fact, they normally sell out.

We stopped by early to check out all they had to offer. Rowlands had plenty of summertime favorites like fresh-picked tomatoes, plump peaches, sweet blackberries and more. Their greenhouse in Falls normally sources to restaurants, but with businesses closed down during the pandemic, the farmers market has provided an outlet for their surplus of fruits and veggies.

Bet’a Bread of Clarks Summit was selling their hearth-style loaves and fresh-baked rolls. Between the two stands, you could easily put together a farm-to-fork dinner.

The Moosic Farmers Market is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Ski Shack. It will continue every week through October 2.
