Step Inside a Real-Life Fairytale
Winter in the Pocono Mountains is always magical, but the holiday season is extra special at Skytop Lodge. Each year, the resort builds a life-sized gingerbread house made entirely of sweets, from the sugary windowpanes to the icing that holds each brick together.
This year’s display is a real-life version of Santa’s Workshop. It took about 300 hours of hard work to bake the gingerbread and assemble the house. Hundreds of pounds of gingerbread go into the project, not to mention tons of fondant, icing and candy used for the decorations.
The gingerbread house is just one of Skytop’s special holiday attractions. Other activities include breakfasts with Santa, hayrides, campfires, Christmas movies, ice skating and more.
