Downtown Wilkes-Barre Celebrates “Fiesta in Full Color”

Wilkes-Barre’s Fine Arts Fiesta is back and bringing Public Square to life with stunning artwork, artisanal crafts, live music and family fun. This beloved local festival kicked off on Thursday, May 19, and continues through Sunday, May 22.

This year’s theme is “Fiesta in Full Color,” marking the first full-scale Fiesta since the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was cancelled in 2020, and a smaller version was held in 2021. But this year, visitors can expect all the activities and events they love about the Fine Arts Fiesta, including the return of live entertainment and food vendors.

The festival also features a market, where over 40 artists and craftspeople are selling their original works. You’ll find paintings, photographs, jewelry, pottery, woodwork, glass and so much more.

The juried art shows are another highlight of the Fiesta. Take a walk through the tented galleries to see the winning artwork from professional, amateur and student artists.

This free, family-friendly event also offers plenty of fun for the kids. Children’s crafts, face painting, entertainment and more will be going on all weekend long.

The Fine Arts Fiesta will continue through Sunday, May 22. Visit the Fine Arts Fiesta website for a full schedule of events, festival map and more. You can also follow the Fine Arts Fiesta on Facebook for the latest updates.

We stopped by Public Square to join the fun. Check out our photos for some of the highlights.
