On Tour in NEPA: Summer 2022 Concerts

Music Festivals & National Tours Take the Stage This Summer

As the temps rise, so does the excitement in NEPA’s music scene. Summer is the height of concert season, and our local music venues have some epic shows planned.

All season long, NEPA is welcoming big-name acts from every genre under the sun, from power-packed rock to down-home country. And don’t miss the return of iconic music fests like The Peach Music Festival at Montage Mountain and Briggs Farm Blues Festival in Nescopeck.

  • It Was 50 Years Ago Today Tour

    June 23

    Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe is throwing it back to the ‘60s with a Beatles’ tribute show. Artists will perform songs from Rubber Soul and Revolver, as well as some of their own hits. Headliners include Jason Scheff of Chicago, Jay Demarcus of Rascal Flatts, Denny Laine of The Moody Blues & Wings and more.

  • As I Lay Dying

    June 23

    Rock out with the metal band As I Lay Dying at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg. Special guests will include Whitechapel, Shadow of Intent and Ov Sulfur.

  • The Peach Music Festival

    June 30 – July 3

    Jam out at The Peach Music Festival at the Pavilion at Montage Mountain. Originally founded by the Allman Brothers, this annual Scranton music fest is celebrating its 10th year. Headliners include the Trey Anastasio Band, The Black Crowes, Billy Strings and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead.

  • United States Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus present “America the Beautiful!”

    July 1

    Ring in the Fourth with this patriotic concert at the Scranton Cultural Center. The Concert Band and Soldiers’ Chorus have performed in all 50 states and 30 foreign countries, and now they’re adding the Electric City to the list.  This concert is free and open to the public. Advanced tickets are available.

  • Garbage

    July 1

    The ‘90s alternative band Garbage will take center stage at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre. This Grammy-nominated group has been rocking out for over 25 years with more than 20 million albums sold.

  • Briggs Farm Blues Festival

    July 7-9

    Known as the “Best Weekend of the Year,” the Briggs Farm Blues Festival in Nescopeck has been a summertime staple for 25 years. This year’s lineup features 20 acts ranging from classic delta blues and heartfelt soul to ramblin’ roots and modern rock. Don’t miss sets from the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Southern Avenue and Davy Knowles.

  • Yuengling Stars & Stripes Celebration with Lee Brice

    July 9

    Nothing goes together like a cold beer and country music. Country star Lee Brice will headline this free, live concert at America’s oldest brewery. Come enjoy a whole day of music, vendors, food and, of course, brews. The show is part of Yuengling’s Stars & Stripes program to support military veterans.

    July 9

    New wave artist Howard Jones is hitting the road just in time for the release of his upcoming album, DIALOGUE. He will perform with a full, four-piece band at the Kirby Center.

  • Jason Aldean: Rock N’ Roll Cowboy Tour 2022

    July 15

    Multi-platinum country star Jason Aldean is making a tour stop at the Pavilion at Montage Mountain. He will perform along with special guests Gabby Barrett, John Morgan and Dee Jay Silver.

    July 23

    Halestorm will put on an epic rock show at the Pavilion at Montage Mountain. Special guests include a women-led lineup with The Pretty Reckless, The Warning and Lilith Czar.

    The All This Summer Festival will bring some of the biggest names in contemporary Christian music to the Pavilion at Montage Mountain. Artists include Hillsong UNITED, Kari Jobe, We The Kingdom and Social Club Misfits.
