Fine art, fresh food, and fun festivals make the perfect combo this weekend in NEPA!
Check out NEPA’s arts and culture scene for creative events and live entertainment. Wilkes-Barre’s Third Friday Art Walk kicks off Friday at 5 p.m. with gallery openings, vendors, and art demonstrations. Friday evening, head to Honesdale and catch some sixties-era tunes at You’ve Got a Friend: The Music of the Brill Building. If you need a good laugh, stop by Wisecrackers at Mohegan Sun Pocono for sidesplitting comedy acts on Friday and Saturday.
You’ll be able to master the farm-to-table trend with this weekend’s food-themed events. Fill your fridge with local produce from the Tunkhannock Farmers Market at Creekside Gardens. On Saturday evening, sharpen your skills in the kitchen at the Adult Cooking Class at Lackawanna College.
Have a blast and support a cause this weekend. Grab your sneakers and head to Milford on Saturday morning for the Pocono FoxTrot 5K for Parkinson’s Research. On Saturday afternoon, bring your furry friend to Susquehanna Brewing Company’s Pints 4 Paws event, which benefits Friends With Paws Pet Rescue. Seriously, you can’t resist a festival that’s all about cute pets and craft beer.
