Start Your Countdown to Christmas this Weekend with Dazzling Lights and Plenty of Local Holiday Shopping
Holiday themed events are the name of the game in post-Thanksgiving NEPA. Start on that march toward Christmas by getting a jump on your shopping list. Stop by the Waldorf German American Federation in Scranton on Saturday and Sunday for their inaugural Christmas Market. Experience Christmas in the Country as you make your way from shop to shop along quaint, back country roads in Meshoppen. Then, head to Knoebels for a visit with Santa, some shopping and delicious food at their Christmas Village.
Spark that holiday spirit with a spectacular light show. Get out to Marywood University in Scranton all weekend for their spectacular, drive-thru Light Up Campus display. Bundle up all weekend for the animated walk-through holiday lights display at Sugarloaf Golf Club. Then, hop in the car for Knoebels’ first ever Joy Through the Grove drive-thru light display.
Don’t miss your chance to meet the big guy on the Stourbridge Line in Honesdale as the popular Santa Express pulls out of the station every weekend through Christmas. Get together with Bellle and the rest of the Beauty and the Beast crew for breakfast and fun on Saturday morning at Scranton’s Ritz Theater. Then, load up on hot chocolate, holiday treats and some classic caroling at the Winter Wonderland hosted by the Act Out Theatre Group in Dunmore.
