Feeling Jolly in July
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well, almost. It’s Christmas in July, and we’re celebrating in the merriest way possible. Wear your favorite festive outfit and join the Greater Scranton YMCA’s Christmas in July Virtual 5K. If shopping is more your style, support local artists and businesses at the Christmas in July Vendor Market at The Grand Bank in Ashley. Stand with NEPA Strong and help local businesses affected by COVID-19 with the Christmas in July Online Auction on Sunday.
We might not be rockin’ around the Christmas tree just yet, but we are Rockin’ the County in Pittston this Friday with The Mule Team.
For some family fun, head to The Slope Amphitheater in Pittston for a free outdoor showing of The Goonies. The event coincides perfectly with the Pittston City Second Friday Art Walk, which is rescheduled from last week. Satisfy your sweet tooth at Whoopiepalooza at Rohrbach’s in Catawissa, or enjoy a Drive-Thru Chicken Dinner to benefit Saint Joseph’s Center in Scranton.
Weekends were made for a little rest and relaxation, so find your Zen at Outdoor Yoga at Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton. Or you can kick back with a new book from the Osterhout Friends Drive-Up Book Sale.
And don’t forget, for all of our friends, families and neighbors, continue observing all recommended health and safety precautions to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
