Celebrate Independence Day Weekend with Yoga, Live Music, Strawberries and Fireworks

Get this holiday weekend started with live music from over fifty bands at the Pavilion at Montage during the annual Peach Music Festival from Thursday through Sunday. Head to Wilkes-Barre’s River Common on Saturday morning for free Riverfront Yoga. Load up the kids and head to Pocono Whitewater in Jim Thorpe for some wild Pirate Rafting all weekend long.

Catch Jurassic Park on the big screen on Friday at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre. Get your fill of juicy, plump strawberries all weekend long at Lakeland Orchard & Cidery’s first Strawberry Festival. Then, lace up on Sunday morning for the Wilkes-Barre YMCA’s famous Bernie’s Run.

Stop by Downtown Hazleton on Friday evening for the Mountain City’s always-entertaining First Friday event. Make your way to the Shawnee Playhouse on Friday and Saturday morning for live performances of Disney’s classic Alice in Wonderland. On Saturday, take a ride on Honesdale’s Stourbridge Line to their outdoor movie theater to catch a classic summer film.
