NEPA Weekend Round-Up 06.24.22

Say Goodbye to June with Summer Festivals, Open-Air Plays and 5Ks

The diversity of this weekend’s festivals means there is something for everyone. Hit the fields at Lakeland Orchard & Cidery for the last weekend of their Strawberry Festival. Prepare for scares at NEPA Horror Fest, a Circle Drive-In staple event. And celebrate love and equality at Wilkes-Barre’s PrideFest.

Show your support for NEPA communities as Last Saturday Hawley highlights local artists and businesses. Then, don’t miss dozens of vendors and plenty of fresh produce during the Tunkhannock Farmers Market at Creekside Gardens on Saturday.

Make sure the kids are in on the fun too. The 7th Annual “Breaking Clays for Kids” at Rock Mountain Sporting Clays supports a good cause with good times. Meanwhile, Downtown Discoveries Kids’ Fest brings the party to Midtown Village. You can even introduce them to Shakespeare at the Gamut Theatre’s outdoor production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Riverside Park.

The Mainline 5K tests runners’ toughness at Montage Mountain with a challenging course along the resort’s slopes. If you prefer a more leisurely pace, Vineyard Tours at Mountain View Vineyard give guests a behind-the-scenes look at the making of their favorite wines & spirits.
