NEPA Weekend Round-Up 01.15.21

Posted: January 13, 2021
Enjoy a Winter Weekend Full of Wining, Dining, Hiking and, Yes…Birding
Brave the cold and get outside for a little fresh air this weekend. Bring your binoculars to Frances Slocum State Park on Saturday for a morning hike and a bit of bird spotting. Make your way to the Pocono Environmental Education Center in Dingmans Ferry on Sunday to learn how to make your own bird feeder out of recycled materials. Then, bring the kids out to Pocono Organics in Long Pond for their Winter Wonderland Festival on Saturday.
Get out the ski gear and head to the slopes for a day of classic NEPA winter fun. Pull on the warm socks and long underwear and embark on a refreshing winter hike at one of our beautiful parks. Or, join Valley To Summit for the ultimate waterfall ice hiking experience at Ricketts Glen State Park.
Warm up inside with a hot cup of Joe, or grab your Sunday latte to go from one of NEPA’s quaint coffee shops or cafes. Set out on an expedition to find that perfect bottle of red, or that hard-to-find white on the DiscoverNEPA Wine Trail. And, while you’re busy with your weekend adventures, skip the home cooking. Stop by your favorite neighborhood restaurant and enjoy a little indoor dining. Of course, you could always just watch football and order takeout all weekend.
