NEPA Businesses Play Welcome Role in Upper Delaware River Region Water Conservation Effort

The Delaware Highlands Conservancy Relaunches Drinks for the Delaware

Program offers consumers opportunity to contribute to protection of clean drinking water with featured drink purchases at local businesses.

The Delaware Highlands Conservancy has launched a summer fundraising initiative aimed at protecting the working farms, forests, clean waters and wildlife habitats of the Upper Delaware River Region. Drinks for the Delaware creates a partnership between the Conservancy, NEPA businesses, residents and visitors. The program will rotate to a different town each month. This summer, Drinks for the Delaware will take place in Honesdale, Hawley and Callicoon, NY.

We’re thrilled to find new ways to partner with the wonderful locally owned, sustainable businesses who care for our community, and to work together not just for our mutual benefit, but for the millions of people who rely on clean drinking water from the Upper Delaware.

Diane Rosencrance, Executive Director for the Conservancy

Here's How it Works

Local breweries, distilleries, wineries, coffee shops and restaurants all rely on clean, regional drinking water. These businesses also understand the importance of investing in the future sustainability of their communities.

During selected summer months, participating businesses will feature a “drink of the month.” All proceeds from those special drink purchases will go directly toward supporting the Conservancy’s mission.

It’s that simple. Stop in your favorite local coffee shop, or restaurant. Pick up the Drinks for the Delaware featured beverage and do a whole lot of good for our environment.

Now It’s Your Turn to Step Up

The program will be heading to Hawley in July and Callicoon, NY in August. If your business is interested in participating as a Drinks for the Delaware partner during these upcoming months, please contact [email protected]
