The H&K Group, Inc. (H&K) began as a small family business a half century ago. Today, they are a dynamic group of vertically integrated companies providing complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value.

Founded in 1968 as Haines & Kibblehouse, Inc., the story of H&K Group began with one man, a CAT 933 loader, a vision, hard work, determination, and success. In 2015, after years of growth and expansion, the company unified and consolidated to H&K Group, Inc. and throughout the years has grown to over 70 operations in 3 states.

Throughout the company’s evolution, H&K is proud to say that they have grown to be able to offer diverse services and products across their operational territory, allowing them to meet and exceed their customers’ needs in the construction industry.

Socially responsible practices.

H&K Group, Inc. provides a variety of construction services and materials. Their core services include site & land development, transportation & structures, water & wastewater, design-build & value engineering, environmental, demolition, reclamation fill & beneficial reuse soil management, materials recycling, and emergency response. The core materials that they provide include construction materials like crushed stone, sand & gravel, asphalt materials, ready-mix concrete, precast concrete, general fill materials, recycled brick, and block & concrete, as well as building materials like manufactured concrete block, biosoil, mulch, compost & topsoil, and landscape materials.

H&K operates over 70 divisions across 3 states. Specific to Northeast Pennsylvania, their Pocono Lake Division was established in 1984 at their Locust Ridge Quarry hub location to gain ready access to the region’s finest construction aggregate products.  Similarly, their Pikes Creek Division joined in 2000 and the Hazleton Division was established in 2002.

Veronica’s goal and mission in joining H&K as their Sales & Marketing Representative for NEPA was to continue their growth across the area and really aid in brand and company recognition through networking efforts and partnerships throughout the communities.

H&K’s involvement in the community ranges from providing hundreds of jobs locally in which they operate, to their relationships with many local organizations, to their partnerships in supporting their communities through events and charitable contributions.

They recently were highlighted for these efforts through a recognition at the 2021 Bizzy Awards with the Pocono Chamber as the Best Large Business. To Veronica, in addition to the award itself, she also thinks that the brand recognition and acknowledgement of the organization’s involvement within their service communities is very rewarding.
