Nearly a decade of specialized multimedia services.

Center City Print started as a multimedia company nearly 10 years ago, specializing in offering video, web, print, and audio recording services. The company was co-founded by Alex Molfetas and Kurt Effertz, and quickly evolved to focus on print, web design, graphic design, and grounded by a true passion for customer service.

“The first few years, just like any startup, were difficult with many long days and countless weekend projects,” says Kurt Effertz, Co-Owner/ CFO of Center City Print. “In 2018, we opened our second location on Wyoming Avenue in Kingston. This new location really tested the business model we developed, and it brought us directly into the Greater Wilkes-Barre area, which has proven to be a positive experience and we have enjoyed getting to know the local businesses and community better.”

Before starting Center City Print, Kurt was involved in a few different industries including food service management, light industrial manufacturing, and web development. Kurt says that web development was what connected him and his partner and gave them the inspiration to create Center City Print.

“My partner, Alex, fell in love with the City of Scranton and the NEPA community at a young age. He decided to go to college in NEPA and bought a building in downtown Scranton with a dream to create the company that we have today. I met Alex early on in his endeavor, for I too had moved to the area to attend college, and together we developed Center City print from the ground up,” says Kurt. “We continue to stay in NEPA because we are not just a business located here; we are neighbors, community partners, and homeowners who are passionate about this community. We say we are committed to our community and we certainly mean it.”

Meet all your marketing needs at Center City Print.

Center City Print is a full-service printing company that specializes in marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and business cards. They also offer an array of products that include large format signage, vinyl banners, contour cut decals, greeting cards, and much more. Since first opening, Kurt explains that they have always placed an emphasis on customer service and tried their very best to both meet and exceed the expectations of their customers. Kurt defines Center City Print’s mission to be delivering quality products and exceptional customer service while remaining affordable and conscious of their customer’s needs.

“Center City Print’s products and services are not groundbreaking by any means, however, our commitment to the community and our involvement with small businesses, charitable organizations, and community development projects certainly helps us stand out,” says Kurt.

Last year, the company donated over $10,000 to Northeastern Pennsylvania nonprofits in addition to the countless in-kind donations provided for organizations throughout Lackawanna and Luzerne counties. Additionally, during the pandemic, they donated and organized fundraisers for first responders and those who had lost their life due to the pandemic.

“The pandemic also gave us a moment to stop and reflect on the company we built and showed pain points that we may not have known existed, giving us the opportunity to improve. Through this process, we were able to address some underlying issues and continue to improve our products and services to better meet the needs of our customers,” says Kurt. “Along the way we made lasting customer relationships with so many.”
