Local Wholesale Greenhouse Offering Direct-to-Customer Produce

Rowlands Pennsylvania Produce Offering Homegrown Greens Directly to Customers at Convenient Saturday Pickup Locations

Restaurant slowdown directs attention to struggling local farms.

A dramatic loss of regular restaurant wholesale accounts has left one local farm looking to unload fresh greens. Rowlands Pennsylvania Produce, located in Falls, is setting up four convenient produce pickup locations throughout the region. Customers can place orders through the farm’s Facebook page. Produce pickups can be arranged at one of the locations, or directly at their farm.

Rowlands Pennsylvania Produce is USDA Harmonized GAP certified, which is the highest “Safe” food handling certification you can receive. They specialize in hydroponic, pesticide-free lettuce and herbs. All produce grows in a controlled greenhouse environment, and it is picked fresh every day using protective gloves.

The first (of hopefully many) local weekend produce pickups begins Saturday, March 21.
