With new COVID-19 restrictions, local restaurants need our help more than ever. We’re changing up our “Let’s Do Lunch” series and searching for delicious takeout options throughout the area. Call in your order, pick up your to-go box and show your support for your favorite NEPA restaurants.

Farm-to-Table Dishes With a Local Flair

“Know your farmer, know your food” is the motto at Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar in Moosic. This farm-to-table restaurant focuses on all things fresh and wholesome.

Harvest opened at The Shoppes at Montage in 2017, and they’ve been working with local farmers ever since. They source their ingredients from several Pennsylvania farms, including Tilling Point Farm in Shavertown, Pocono HydroFarm in Moscow, Calkins Creamery in Honesdale and Fullers Overlook Farm in Waverly.

Harvest rolls out a new menu every season. They recently released their winter menu, which includes favorites like grain bowls, entrée salads and sandwiches. They also make healthy dinners like seafood, steaks and pasta. Most of the dishes are under 500 calories, and there are plenty of plant-based and gluten-free options.

The popular Butternut Squash Soup is perfect for a light lunch or a starter for dinner. This sweet and savory soup is finished with toasted pumpkin seeds and a drizzle of local honey.

The Grass-Fed Burger is another favorite throughout the whole year. For the winter, Harvest is topping it off with mild cheddar, Bibb lettuce, tomato and caramelized onion on a poppy seed onion roll.

As for entrées, the Eggplant “Parmesan” is a plant-based, gluten-free option featuring eggplant and butternut squash noodles served with fire-roasted tomato sauce.

Currently, Harvest opens at 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday and noon on Saturday and Sunday. They are currently offering curbside pickup due to statewide restrictions. Online ordering is available through Harvest’s website, DoorDash and Uber Eats. You can also call in your order at (570) 342-3330.

Harvest is also taking orders for family-style takeout on Christmas Eve. Visit their Facebook page for updates and additional specials.
