Free Online Fitness Classes from Local Gyms & Studios

Local Fitness Instructors Post Live Classes and Workout Videos

NEPA’s gyms and yoga studios are bringing your daily workout right to your newsfeed.

Gyms are closed in the statewide shutdown, but that doesn’t mean that you have to skip your workout. Many local fitness centers are posting videos and streaming live classes on social media.

As tempting as it is to curl up on the couch and binge watch movies, keeping our minds and bodies active is key during these challenging times. Tap into your inner Zen with yoga classes and guided meditations, fight off boredom with a martial arts class or blow off some steam with an intense cardio session.

Working out from home lets us do what we love while practicing safe social distancing. It’s definitely not like the days when you used to pop an exercise tape into the VCR. Now you can login with your friends, watch your favorite local instructor and share your fun comments and sweat-drenched selfies afterwards.

These local gyms and studios are posting workouts on platforms like Facebook Live and YouTube. They’re free and accessible to anyone—no need to be a member.

Note: Some gyms are offering free content for a limited time only, and schedules are subject to change. Check online to verify current offerings.

Let’s Pay It Forward

This is what NEPA is all about: people motivating one another, even when times are tough. Let’s show our thanks by supporting our local businesses when they need it the most. You can help out by purchasing class passes or gift cards online to use in the future. And if you love a class on Facebook Live, sign up for an in-person membership once they reopen their doors.

And don’t forget, for all of our friends, families, and neighbors, continue observing all recommended health and safety precautions to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
