“31 Days of Women in Power” Begins on March 1
Dress for Success Luzerne County and the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber Women’s Network are launching a month-long campaign to honor local women. “31 Days of Women in Power” will recognize inspiring women in the community and raise money for Dress for Success.
Every day in March, Dress for Success will post about incredible NEPA women on Facebook and Instagram. From business leaders to the unsung heroines of the office, each one has made an impact in the community.
Dress for Success Worldwide is holding a similar campaign that will feature groundbreaking female leaders. The Luzerne County program decided to re-create the campaign on a local scale and expand it to all women, regardless of their leadership positions.
The campaign also includes a virtual event to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8. The keynote speaker will be Aliza Green, a renowned chef and author who helped make Philadelphia into a premier dining destination. Registration includes a Zoom link with the opportunity to interact with Green and other attendees, plus the chance to win door prizes. You can also view a free stream on the Chamber Facebook page.
You can show your support by purchasing a “Woman in Power” t-shirt from Axelrad Screen Printing. The shirts come in ladies’ and unisex sizes with proceeds going to Dress for Success Luzerne County.
