Discover geological wonders at Woodward Cave, located just two hours from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area.
A 50-minute guided tour will lead you through five unique “rooms.” The Ballroom earned its name because locals used to hold square dances inside the cave. The Hall of Statues features a 14-foot-tall stalagmite dubbed “The Tower of Babel.” The Square Room is home to rare rock formations, and the Hanging Forest area contains a collection of stalactites. The Upper Room’s ceiling soars to 60 feet. This cave is like an underground palace! Woodward Cave is open from mid-April through mid-October.
