The Ultimate Party on the Lake

As August draws to a close, the annual Wally Lake Fest makes the summer fun last a little bit longer. This weekend-long festival features over 60 events around Lake Wallenpaupack.

The water is the place to be during Wally Lake Fest. One of the main events is Wallypalooza, where local bands rock out on a floating stage. Catch this free concert from your boat or watch from the shore on Tafton Dike. You’ll find pontoon, kayak, and paddleboard rentals at the local marinas. You can even take a 50-minute cruise to see the sights.

There’s plenty of fun on shore too. Check out the boat show at Wallenpaupack Area High School or hop on your motorcycle for the Annual Ride for the Lake. Stroll through one of the vendor fairs to check out food and craft stands. Local shops and restaurants host live music, demos, and special events all weekend.

Wally Lake Fest covers three regions: Downtown Hawley, the Lake Region, and the North End. There’s a lot of ground to cover, so they offer free shuttle services. Parking is available at the Lake Wallenpaupack Visitors Center, Wallenpaupack Area Middle School, and Wallenpaupack Area High School.
