A Natural Paradise
Situated on one of the Susquehanna River’s most dramatic oxbow turns, the 669-acre Vosburg Neck State Park, formerly known as the Howland Preserve, is located in Tunkhannock, Pa.
With eight miles of beautifully kept trails, a historic barn and access to the river, this space is popular among photographers and nature lovers. And its accessibility has also made it an ideal location for weddings and events. The park also features a non-motorized boat launch.
Hikers, kayakers and bird watchers enjoy Vosburg Neck State Park for its natural beauty and abundant wildlife. Bald eagles and other incredible birds of prey fish and hunt along the river and its fertile banks.
Formerly a North Branch Land Trust property, the Howland Preserve is transitioning to Wyoming County’s first state park with an expected debut in 2026.
