The State Museum’s permanent exhibits include displays about archaeology, transportation, animals, and more. Walk through the Village Square, a life-sized replica of a nineteenth century town. Check out the Marshalls Creek Mastodon, which was discovered in the Poconos and is one of the most complete specimens of its kind in North America. History buffs will love the exhibits about the Civil War.
In the summer, explore the night sky at one of the planetarium shows.
Even the little ones can join the fun with Curiosity Connection, a special exhibit for kids ages 1-5 featuring hands-on activities, play areas, and story time.
