Built in 1861, the Asa Packer Mansion is one of the main attractions in quaint, historic Jim Thorpe. As the former home of philanthropist, railroad magnate, and Lehigh University founder Asa Packer, the mansion is an impressive testament to the architecture of its time. Its three stories are built over a cast iron frame, and consist of 18 rooms. You won’t miss its bright red roof. Schedule a house tour or just explore the mansion’s grounds.
