Since 1978, the Schuylkill County Council for the Arts has been assisting local artists and service organizations. As a non-profit, the SCCA’s goal is to provide a place for local artists of all trades and backgrounds to meet and share ideas. The council is located in the historic Yuengling mansion in Pottsville. The SCCA hosts various events at the mansion. Musical performances, readings, art exhibits, and even ghost tours take place throughout the year. No matter the endeavor, creative minds have a home at the Schuylkill County Council for the Arts.
